This is an example of a myelin-stained cross-section through the pons. The level and orientation of the section are shown in the navigation field in the upper right corner of the screen. As in the gross screens, the name an outline of any structure can be obtained by either clicking on the structure in the image or in the structures list and screens showing different representations of the structure can be accessed using the X, G, D and I buttons. The selected structure (in this case, the corticospinal tract) can be followed through consecutive cross-sections just by clicking on the up or down arrows in the navigation field. (The structure will remain selected as you move to different levels).
